A Boy and His Dog...

Maddux eyeing up the "crinkle star"!
Evan loves Maddux!

Thanks for letting us borrow this Isaac & Lily!

One of Evan's favorite toys is his "crinkle star". It is a terry cloth star that makes a "crinkle" noise when you play with it. Each point of the star is a different texture and one of them squeaks. Maddux seems to think that this is a dog toy and tries his best to get it. One morning Evan was in his car seat ready to go and Aaron and I were finishing getting ready for work. I came out of the kitchen and Maddux had jumped up and gotten the crinkle star away from Evan. Whenever Evan has it, Maddux tries to sneak it away from him when we're not looking. The other day Evan was playing with it and Maddux sat staring for at least 5 minutes! He was ready to pounce and steal the star at any minute, so I just had to get a picture. Evan doesn't seem to mind sharing his things with his pup and loves to watch Maddux. I'm a little concerned that the two of them may get into trouble once Evan is able to move around!
We went to Eau Claire last weekend to visit Grandpa Marv and Grandma Mary Jo. We went to Carter's birthday party on Friday night and Evan had a great time watching all of the kids! It was way past his bedtime, but he was a trooper...I think he'll be quite the party boy when he gets older!
Saturday I went to the Colfax High School production of Footloose that my good friend Carrie directed. Theresa, Kristen, and I decided to dress in 80's gear...complete with crimped hair, blue eye shadow, and huge earrings. It was a great night out and Evan had fun hanging out with grandma and grandpa for the night.
Today I took Evan to visit my old co-workers and the kids at Adventure's Plus. The kids were very excited to see him and he enjoyed watching them run around and sing karaoke! They must have worn him out because he fell asleep in the car and slept in his car seat for 1/2 hour after we got home!
Only 3 more late nights for Aaron at work and April 15th is right around the corner...yippee!

5 Months Old

Evan loves his new blanket from Great Aunt Kay!
The birthday kids!

Taking a little snooze at the restaurant...

The family...

Evan turned 5 months old yesterday...where does the time go?! I know that I have said this before, but he really does get more fun everyday! He is very animated and has discovered that if he open his mouth wide, loud noises come out. He is quite the funny little guy!
We have been busy! Last weekend I had to work on Saturday morning, so my parents came up to babysit. Evan had a great time hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa during the day, then we all went for dinner on Saturday night. Evan is so good when we go out and loves to watch the things going on around him. I had to work Tuesday night too, so my mom and cousins came to stay the night. Evan spent the day with Grandma, Laura, and Kirsten on Wednesday. They went for a walk and played lots. They must have worn him out because he was exhausted when I got home!
This weekend Grandma and Grandpa Pasche and Great Grandma Signora came to visit. We went for a walk, sat out on the deck, and played while Aaron was at work. We went to visit him at his office and then had dinner. Today Evan, Jane, Cole, and I drove to Clear Lake for Isaac and Lily's birthday party. They turn 2 on Tuesday and are SO darn cute! They had Elmo cupcakes, lots of presents, and even sang songs for us! It was Evan's first party and he had fun hanging out with his buddies Isaac, Lily, Cole, Ethan, and Macie.
There are 3 weeks left of tax season and we are counting down! We are looking forward to having Aaron home at night and doing some fun family things on the weekends!

Big Boy

Such a happy little guy!
What we wake up to every morning! (It doesn't get any better than that!)
Enjoying a nice walk around the neighborhood

We had Evan's 4 month appointment on the 27th and he is a big guy! He weighs 18 lbs. 13.5 oz and is 26 3/4 inches! He is in the 97% percentile for weight and 95% for height. Wowsers!
I had spring break last week, so Evan and I went to Eau Claire to stay with my parents for a few days. Evan had fun hanging out with grandma and grandpa, but I was miserable with the flu!
We got out for a walk on Friday since the weather was so nice. Evan was very mellow and fell asleep halfway through. I posted a picture of him bundled up in his cute little fleece jacket! On Saturday we went to IKEA with my brother. Evan loves to watch people and seemed to be very entertained! Evan is very vocal ("goo, goo"), full of smiles, and is putting everything in his mouth. He watches what is going on around him, rolls over (when he feels like it), and loves to be talked to. We are having so much fun with him and are loving every minute!

Busy Weekend...

Lots of smiles...

Laura and Evan

Baby Macie

Since Aaron was working this weekend, Evan and I headed to Eau Claire to visit my parents. My friend Kristen was also being induced on Friday, so it was a good time to go. We visited great grandpa on Friday night and Evan had his first "giggle" while we were there! He has done it a couple of times since...very sweet! On Saturday my cousin Laura stopped over to visit. She was in town for a little while and wanted to come and see how big Evan has gotten! In the afternoon we went to the Home Show with my mom. I had Evan in the Baby Bjorn and he seemed to love it. He likes to watch what is going on around him and check things out, but I wasn't sure how he would do in it. I tried it a couple of times when he was younger and he was not amused! I think it's better now that he can face forward and see what is going on. Kristen had her baby on Saturday morning, so I was able to go and visit in the hospital while Evan stayed with grandma. It was a great weekend, but I think we wore Evan out. He slept the entire way home yesterday and took quite a few naps today.
He also ROLLED OVER for the first time today!!! Three times from back to front...our little guy is growing up!

Almost 4 months old!

Valentine photo shoot...

Our sweet little Valentine!

Enjoying his new "ducky" bath!

Baby Cole (Jane's little guy)

I can't believe that Evan will be 4 months old on Saturday! Where doe the time go?!
We went over to visit my friend Jane and baby Cole on Monday. Cole seems so tiny and he is actually a little bigger than Evan was when he was born! Is it possible that Evan was that small?
Evan had a great first Valentine's day and was a good sport with my photo shoot. I tried to get the dog in a picture too, but he wanted nothing to do with it. Aaron actually caught Maddux behind the chair eating the paper heart the next morning!
Right now Evan loves to play "so big", stand up and show off his strong legs (while being held of course), "talk" to us, put things in his mouth (especially his blankets and burp cloths), read books, play with his froggy carseat toy and any toy that lights up or plays music, take baths (he just got a new duck tub from Matt and Hannah), and play under his activity gym.
He gets more fun everyday and we are pretty crazy about him!

We love weekends!

We had a nice, relaxing weekend. We went out for dinner, did some shopping, played a lot, and hung out with Uncle Matt on Saturday morning. The weather was nice, but we'll be really glad when it's warm enough to go for a stroller ride!

Mommy Time...

It's tax season again, so Aaron is working his long hours. Evan and I have been home (with Maddux the dog) having some good bonding time! We have been playing, cuddling, and having great fun! Evan has started putting his fists in his mouth, making lots of noises (I'm sure he'll be a talker just like his mom!), and loves to try and grasp his toys. I can't believe that he will be 4 months on the 21st! He is such a joy and gets sweeter every day!
